Supplement, 1934

A single folded sheet that grew into a 16-page supplement, sent out with the autumn list of 1934 to the nursery's regular readers. It records changes: varieties withdrawn, names altered after a trial in the nursery's own beds, and new sizes of packet.

Two pages carry handwritten corrections in pencil. The hand is not the printer's, and we have not attributed it to anyone. The corrections are indexed separately, because they change the printed text and a reader needs to know which version of an entry they are reading.

Parts

Part Files Size
Cover and first pages 3 0.9 GB
Pages 4 to 12 9 0.8 GB
Pages 13 to 16 and back cover 5 0.4 GB

Each correction has the same reference as the page it changes, with a letter added. FB-C-0118-007a, for example, is the first pencilled note on page 7. The letter moves on through the alphabet for each further note on the same page.

A supplement is the hardest issue in the section to read in order, since it was never meant to stand on its own. Keep its reference numbers together, and read it against the main list of the same year before drawing any conclusion from it.
